In reply to John Doe. 100% agree with John Doe above. I love Jesus but for His sake don't be led blindly. Stand up for the widow, the orphan, the woman who says she was abused, etc, etc, You get the point. Jesus, yes!!! But don't be so spiritual that you are no earthly good.

I do believe in keeping focusing on Jesus but we still have to live and think and make wise discessions. there is truth about the harm of medicines that many people are suffering from. there is cures that homepathic doctors have helped where medicines has caused pain and sorrow from. Everyone can believe what they want. I can believe what they want. There are people who don’t believe in the devil, but any lie can do us harm. I need to examine and based on what I already have learn I will except those fact out there and reject the lies If the main streem had a agenda to bring down Trump, don”t think they don’t want to bring us down. Wake up America. My prayer is Lord deliver us from decptions and lies from the emeny of our soul. I am a very active prayer warior.

Scripture supported article and I respect the view presented but as a Canadian living in democracy I have a responsibility to vote and advocate politically for the future of my children’s freedoms. Yes, their salvation is foremost as is a thankful attitude. But as believers we are called to stand against evil. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego certainly did.

I think that Ed Stetser (where that quote was from), was emphasizing the fact that sharing things which are false, or unproven, is the same as sharing falsehood. Especially if this is done without qualification (what I mean is, most people that post such things don’t qualify their post by saying, “not sure about this, but it’s an interesting idea…”) I don’t think he was trying to say that there’s such a thing as a “proven theory” for, as you pointed out, then it would move from theory to fact. Further, it’s not quite true that if you share only proven things ‘you would never open your mouth,’ as you wrote in your comment. There are many things – such as the facts of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection – that are not mere theories, but facts. And I think that the point of the article is that we as Christians should focus on witnessing to those facts, rather than using our time to witness to mere theories. If you search this site you will find that this is what the great preachers and teachers of the past did: they focused their time on witnessing to the fact of Jesus’ saving power…which is why they are known as classics today.
